The Guernica Children - FILM & Q&A
FREE EVENT

The Chandler's Ford History Group have been working hard to collate a vast collection of historical facts on Chand;ler's Ford over the years. A connection with the Basque Children of 37 association led to a film being made of their plight and relocation to Chandler's Ford.

In the wake of the bombing of Guernica during the Spanish Civil War, 3862 children were evacuated to Britain to a camp in Chandler’s Ford. 86 years on and we hear their extraordinary story in this film.

The Film will be shown in Cuckoo Bushes Hall on the large screen lasting roughly 60 minutes and then a Q&A session will be held afterwards by Simon Martinez

This is great opportunity to understand the rich history of Chandler's Ford and we hope you will come along for a cup of tea, coffee and biscuits and enjoy the film.

EYE WITNESS PRODUCTIONS IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE BASQUE CHILDREN OF 37 ASSOCIATION UK. WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE MINISTERIO DE LA PRESIDENCIA.
